Contemporary Figure Studio.

A space to observe, slow down, and deepen your practice.

The Figure Room is a contemporary figure studio in the heart of Sydney. We offer life drawing sessions that invite artists of all levels to slow down, connect with presence, and deepen their practice in a calm and considered environment. Each session supports focused observation of the human form through attentive pacing, light, sound, and atmosphere.

Whether you’re sketching your first line or refining your work, our space honours the act of seeing and the simple rhythm of practice.

Curated Sessions

Life Drawing Reimagined.

Each session moves through a mix of shorter and longer poses, giving you space to warm up, settle in, and really spend time with what’s in front of you.

Lighting, sound, and subtle visual projection help shape the room. The projection isn’t there to be watched closely. It sits quietly in the background, holding the mood and supporting your focus while you draw.

We choose models who bring a grounded presence into the room. The space feels calm and steady from beginning to end.

Open to all levels.
Just come willing to observe.

Why The Room Exists

The Figure Room was created to offer something simple: a space to slow down and focus on the human form.

There’s no pressure here. Just time to observe, draw, and develop your practice in a steady and supportive environment.

It’s for those who want consistency. A room they can return to.

Who is it for?

Whether you're a working artist, design student, or hobbyist, these sessions are designed for anyone looking to: • Practice life drawing in a relaxed setting • Explore human anatomy and form • Develop a creative habit • Find presence and flow through figure art.
